DIY a boat out of plastic bottles and sail 500 miles

Plastic bottles can only be garbage to us, but for some people, they are not only not garbage, but also heroes. Just like a previous article about plastic bottles, secondary use is perfectly realized.

Jan is a 22-year-old student and Jakub is a 21-year-old machinist assistant. They found that in the face of the increasingly serious environmental pollution problem, people still lack due attention and do not have a strong awareness of protecting the environment. In order to encourage people to protect the environment and reduce pollution, they decided to make a boat out of waste plastic bottles. While sailing, they advocated paying attention to the environment.

Jan and Jakub collected 50,000 plastic bottles and started building a boat. With the help of friends, they first made a strong wooden frame and a rudder and steel propeller, and then used some bicycle parts to make several seats. In order to maintain buoyancy, they filled plastic bottles with dry ice, and finally filled the wooden frame of the boat with these plastic bottles in a certain order, and then a plastic bottle boat was built. They designed a sailing route and set sail on the Elbe River in central Europe on July 12, and finally completed a 500-mile voyage.
These young people are really admirable for using their own efforts to do meaningful things. Of course, their practical approach to environmental protection is believed to make many people raise their awareness of environmental protection.
